Rebuilding Cornerstones: Black Domesticity

The goal of this studio was to learn the history of Black living rituals and to deconstruct the Eurocentric ideas of design to create a series of projects focused on spatial justice. We were tasked with four assignments: reimagining iconography, reconstructing icons, creating Black space, and designing for Black domesticity. This project was in collaboration with the Spatial Justice Initiative at the University of Oregon.
